JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from Election Technician B by presence of entry-level duties.
Examples of Work EXAMPLES BELOW ARE A BRIEF SAMPLE OF COMMON DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS JOB TITLE.

Communicates on a routine basis with various election officials, general public, poll workers, etc.
Trains to interpret ballot layout and ballot design used for printing of ballots and programming of election equipment.
Performs work required to maintain operable election equipment for use during elections held during the year.
Assists in compiling data on serial numbers, protective counter numbers, and election equipment numbers assigned to each precinct.
Provides assistance in training sessions for commissioners.
Provides training to all field part time employees on all elections duties, upgrades, and general office duties.
Corrects election machine problems immediately so that voting can continue.
Assists in preparing service call reports which include nature of calls, problems, remedies and times of departure and arrival at the polling locations.
Assists in preparing information on transporting voting machines from warehouse to election precincts and return trips.
